The practice was founded by Tony Harrison in 1987 on his departure from Hirshfields. Prior to this he was employed by Smith Industries. Andrew Moulsdale joined ARH in 1989 after being employed by Landers Chartered Building Surveyors and became Tony's partner in 1995.
The partnership is located in the City of London.
From this base we provide building surveying services to a variety of institutional and private clients. Although situated in London ARH is involved in projects throughout the U.K., in addition to advising clients on a number of overseas properties.
The partnership's mandate is to provide flexible professional advice to meet each clients' specific needs, both efficiently and cost effectively.
One of the core business areas of the instructions received by ARH Associates, is for the inspection and production of pre-acquisition surveys. ARH recognises that no two properties nor instructions are the same and we pride ourselves with the ability to identify the specific requirements of individual clients and tailoring reports to clients objectives. Specialist tests are carried out regularly, as are investigations into mechanical and electrical installations and testing for any deleterious materials.
Given the intricate nature of a number of our clients' acquisitions we are often required to liase with their legal advisors regarding such matters as; planning, building control, means of escape in case of fire and the liabilities imposed by leasehold agreements.
